You will see per-unit veneer prices advertised that seem impossible next to what you were quoted at home. Some of those prices are real. Understanding what they buy is the useful part.
A low unit price is not automatically fake
Costs genuinely are lower in Colombia, Mexico and elsewhere, for the same reasons everything else is. A veneer can be honestly priced well below a New York fee and still be a good veneer.
So the question is not whether it is too cheap to be true. The question is what specification that price describes.
What very low prices usually describe
Milled monolithic units with minimal individual characterisation, often with no diagnostic wax-up, no aesthetic try-in, and a shade taken quickly rather than measured.
For a straightforward case with even, healthy teeth, that can produce a perfectly decent result. For a demanding case it will not, and no price makes that different.
What is often quoted separately
Whitening beforehand, any gum treatment, the night guard afterwards, and the temporary veneers you wear between appointments. Each is legitimate. Each also means the advertised number was not the total.
The three questions that settle it
What material, made by which process? Is a mock-up or try-in included before anything is prepared? What is the warranty and what does it require of me?
A clinic that answers all three clearly is worth taking seriously at any price point. One that deflects is worth leaving at any price point.
Cheap is not the problem. Undefined is. Get the specification and the price becomes easy to judge.
