Trying On Your Smile Before Anything Is Prepared

The single most useful thing in aesthetic dentistry costs almost nothing, takes fifteen minutes, and is reversible. A surprising number of treatment plans skip it.

What it is

Using a silicone key made from the digital design, we inject tooth-coloured resin over your unprepared teeth. Within minutes you are wearing a three-dimensional version of the proposed result.

Nothing has been drilled. It peels off completely, and your teeth are exactly as they were.

What you do with it

Look at it in daylight rather than under the surgery light. Talk. Take photographs. Send them to someone whose opinion you trust. Sleep on it if you want to.

Then tell us what to change. Longer, shorter, squarer, less prominent — all of it is a ten-minute adjustment in resin at this stage.

What it tells us, not just you

Whether the design works phonetically, how it supports the lip, how much shows at rest, and crucially how much space exists for the ceramic.

That last point determines how much tooth needs preparing. Preparing through an approved mock-up with depth grooves is how minimal preparation is actually achieved rather than merely claimed.

Why it disappears from compressed schedules

It costs an appointment. On a three-day package that appointment is the one that gets cut, which means the first time you see the result is when it is cemented.

That is the wrong order, and it is not recoverable.

Ask directly whether a try-in is included before any preparation. If the answer is no, ask why, because this is the last point at which changes are free.

Questions about your own case? Send us your photos and we will walk you through the options.
