Teeth in a day is a real protocol with real evidence behind it. Full mouth in a day, as advertised by some clinics, is usually a different claim wearing the same words.
What is genuinely possible in one day
Implants can be placed and a fixed provisional bridge attached the same day, provided the implants achieve enough initial stability. You walk out with fixed teeth. That part is true and well documented.
What you are wearing is a provisional. It is designed to look good and function reasonably while the bone integrates around the implants underneath.
What is not possible in one day
The definitive prosthesis. Bone needs months to integrate with the implant surface, and no marketing changes that timeline.
So the honest version of the promise is: fixed teeth in a day, finished treatment in about six months to a year. Clinics that stop the sentence after the first half are not lying, exactly. They are just letting you hear something else.
Why a compressed schedule can be actively harmful
Immediate loading depends on achieving a stability threshold at surgery. Sometimes the bone does not allow it, and the correct decision is to leave the implants to heal unloaded.
If the schedule was promised before the patient was assessed, there is pressure to load anyway. That is precisely how early failures happen.
What to ask
Is the bridge I leave with the final one? If not, when is the final one made and is it in the quoted price? What happens if stability is inadequate on the day and immediate loading is not advisable?
The third question is the important one. There should be a plan for that answer, not an assumption it will not happen.
Fixed teeth on the day of surgery is an excellent option for the right patient. A guarantee of it made before anyone has looked at your bone is a scheduling promise, not a clinical one.
